Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts (AA) degree offers students a well-rounded education, providing essential skills and a solid foundation for further academic pursuits. This comprehensive two-year program, comprising 60 credits (20 courses), is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year Arts degree. It prepares students for a smooth transition into bachelor’s programs at research or teaching universities or serves as a valuable credential for entering the job market. The AA degree, recognized by University Canada West (UCW) and all accredited institutions in British Columbia, ensures easy transferability, provided specific admission criteria are met.
As an Education consultant in Bhutan, we assist students in navigating the process of transferring into a bachelor’s program at UCW or any other university in British Columbia upon completing the AA degree. Alternatively, students can continue their AA studies by completing an additional 30 credits as per provincial guidelines. Graduates of the AA program are equipped with key workplace skills, such as problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and strong communication abilities—critical for success in the job market.
